Order GIS Data

The City has made all of its 2002 Orthophotos and Planimetric layers
available to the public on DVDs. Each DVD contains the area designated on the
map (NW,NE,SE,SW). The data is based on 2002 aerial photography at a
1inch = 100 ft map scale (Alabama West State Plane Coordinate System NAD83
Datum Fips Zone 102 ).

2002 Planimetric Layers
The Planimetric Data is available in DXF format. The following is a
list of the layers included on each DVD.

2002 Orthophotos
The Orthophotos have a 1 pixel = 6 inch resolution and are available in a
compressed MrSid format. The Orthophoto DVDs come with a free MrSID Viewer
(Lizardtech,Inc.) that allows the user to view the orthophotos and export any
portion as an uncompressed Tiff image.
